"ED experience"

About: St John of God Midland Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a carer),

My wife was admitted to ED recently following intense symptoms and distress following our unfortunate miscarriage a few weeks prior. After several tests it became apparent there was some remnant product left in the uterus.

Huge shoutout to our ED nurse Shae, who was incredibly considerate, compassionate, eager to help and even checked on me and how I was going as a father given men don’t get as much recognition as women in these sad moments. I believe she is going to be a superb midwife and I hope our experience helped you on your journey!

Dear correspondencefm89

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your care in our Emergency Department (ED).

We were sorry to learn about your experience and hope that you are both recovering after this very sad event.

It is gratifying to read that caregiver Shae took the time to check in with you and your kind words will be shared with her.

Your feedback shows us how small acts of kindness and compassion can help our patients and their family members during difficult times.

We thank you once again and wish you the very best.

Kindest regards,

Gail Miller
