"Excellent care at Moora Health Service"

Recently I presented at the Emergency Department in Moora as I was feeling really unwell and suspected I had dehydration following an overseas holiday. I hadnt felt that unwell for a very long time and was really concerned that I would be waiting for a long time and not be listened to.

The care that I received was nothing short of perfect. Every single staff member that I encountered was friendly, compassionate and professional. I was triaged quickly and placed in a bed close to a bathroom which I was so grateful for as I felt really unwell sitting up or standing. The wait to be seen by the doctor was not unreasonable at all and I was kept informed the entire time. I stayed for a few hours while I received treatment and was asked many times by the doctor attending, and the nurses if I was happy with the plan. Nothing was done without a discussion with myself and my complete understanding and permission. The nurses and doctor that attended to me completed a thorough and careful assessment and I felt very safe being cared for and when I was discharged. 

A few days later I received a phone call from the doctor with my results. He had a hard time contacting me and went above and beyond to ensure he made contact and followed up to see how I was going.
I did say thank you that day, but I would love if you could please pass on my thanks to all who work at Moora Health Service. The community are very lucky to have such amazing nurses and doctors. They made my awful day so much better with their excellent care.

Thank you for taking the time to provide to provide valuable feedback concerning your recent presentation to Moora Hospital.

Your email was very heartening to read as to me it ticked all the boxes as to what a health service should be providing to its community.

I was very pleased to read that you were provided with such a high level of compassionate care and treatment.

It is extremely important that where possible, patients are involved in their care plan and feel safe and comfortable from admission to discharge.

I will have great pleasure to pass on your uplifting words and thanks to the Moora Team.

I hope your recovery is going as well as expected.
