The Midwifes care provided to me and my partner and our family after the passing of our baby boy in the NICU was incredible.
I was blessed to have the most amazing midwifes help me along my journey. They ensured I felt supported and loved, informed me of all the support available and placed me in touch with the Perinatal Loss Team who have been amazing in all they have provided and been able to help with during the most heartbreaking times of our life.
The ward midwifes I had over my stay were just amazing at listening to our story, but being apart of our recovery. As a first time mum and giving birth preterm, I was experiencing all kinds of emotions.
I was lucky enough to have a midwife student named Bonnie look after me and our family for a day, she will make the most beautiful midwife and I am so glad we got to be a part of her journey and her apart of ours.
All our midwife’s made my family feel welcome, and that my room was a safe place.
They coordinated my return to my local hospital to continue my recovery.
I honestly am so blessed with the journey that I have had at KEMH ❤️
