I was a participant in the trial HORIZON: A Phase II Study to Evaluate the Safety and Efficacy of Two Doses of GT005
The trial was explained perfectly to me by the doctors and the staff in the Macula Research Group at Sydney Eye Hospital. I was always treated respectfully and my appointments during the trial were conducted in a timely manner where I didn’t spend a lot of wasted time waiting to be seen.
I would like to thank you both Danijel and Thomas who aided and guided me, as well as the lovely lady who patiently got me to read the alphabet from a distance (I can’t remember her name) and all the doctors and associated staff for the time I spent on the Macular Trial associated with the Sydney Eye Hospital. I was monitored for change and did not have the operation; however I do feel that I did contribute to the overall study. The treatment and instruction I received during the study period was both professional and extremely caring throughout the trial.
Because I live in Canberra, the unit organized my accommodation near the hospital for when I was required for testing.
It was my pleasure to have participated in this trial. I have expressed my willingness to be considered for any future trials that may be coming up.
"Appreciation to all the team at Macula Research Group – Clinical Trials Unit"
