Late last year, I was admitted to the ED via ambulance for chest pains weeks after a COVID infection. When I was admitted, I saw few patients masked (I was the only one I observed wearing a KN94 mask, most other people were in surgical masks), a lot of people coughing their lungs out in common areas not separated from other patients. I fear more people will get sick as we now know that transmission is airborne and that it seems basic prevention strategies are no longer adopted. Please keep the infection control procedures up especially in areas where the sickest patients are.
