In the Boxhill maternity reception area, the reception staff member. It is first time that I was unsure that it is a just a reception to handle administration or a doctor that question patient rudely, I felt, to explain why doctor book me for another appointment.
Initially, the receptionist was telling me with uncomfortable to and like : “ you wait in behind that sign next time and wait for me to call you then you can come to the counter.” I am superseded that no one is in the waiting area and it is empty at reception area. Later, the receptionist questioned the doctor's decision and repeatedly asked me why I needed to return, even consulting with the doctor twice, but still refused to schedule my next appointment.
They questioned the doctor's request to book me for the next appointment and asked about the problem that required my return.
Confused, I replied that it was the doctor's decision. The receptionist seemed to become annoyed and persistently asked why, leaving me utterly perplexed. I wondered why a receptionist, typically responsible for administrative tasks, was acting like a doctor, questioning the doctor's decisions, and speaking rudely to a patient in my opinion.
"Reception or doctor?"
