"Phone system"

About: Swan Hill District Health Medical Centre

(as a service user),

I have tried four times now to contact the Primary Health Medical Centre. 

First attempt just rang out.

Second attempt went to some message about Cisco Unity Messaging service.

Third attempt was answered. I heard someone mumbling then went to music on hold for over 8 minutes when I hang up.

Forth attmept I was asked to go on hold where I waited for 5 minutes and also gave up.

I understand a business gets busy, but seriously I feel you need to do something about the lack of service provided. If you cant get a staff member to speak on a phone over a 45 minute period on a weekday, I believe you need to address this. I would hate to be calling early on a Monday morning or even on a Friday.

Dear authenticmr66,

I apologise that you have had experienced difficulties with our telephone system at our GP Clinic.

Please know that this issue is at the top of our priorities, and we are currently reviewing our telephone system and updating our messaging system.

We are also in the midst of extending our reception area which will enable an extra workstation and staff member being able to assist with the overload of incoming calls.
