My daughter is special needs, vision and hearing impaired (perfect in my eyes) this was her first general anaesthetic away from the metro children's hospital. Pre op we were handed all the information, explained all the details and then on the day informed about everything from start to finish. Every staff member said hello to my daughter and introduced themselves to her (not just me) they made her feel special and important, engaged with her and explained what was going to happen. We were kept informed with the eta of theatre and I was allowed accompany her all the way. We were taken care of by the beautiful team in theatre, Julian, Stephanie, and Shainty. Our aneathestist Steve was calming and gentle and post operative the care from nurse Sue was just brilliant.
I am very grateful for the care received today from the team. I am pleased to say that I feel we have a hospital just as good, if not better than the city right in in our community.
Thank you bass coast health
Keep up the great work !
