Diagnosed at 31 weeks and was reluctant to start group physio sessions, thinking it was “too late to start”. Finally started at 37 weeks due to starting maternity leave and having a bit more leeway with time. My only regret is not starting earlier! The environment makes me feel safe and guided to do the right exercises, along with a good variety! It has given me more energy, which is great for being so far along in my pregnancy. I’ve slacked so much in regards to physical exercise during my pregnancy that I convinced myself that going on a random walk is enough/oh, I can’t really do group exercise because I’m pregnant. Going to the classes reevaluated my thinking and have actually reminded me of how I used to enjoy going to gym classes aaaaages ago, before pandemic times.
