(as a parent/guardian),

I recently attended ED x 2 with my 18month old son having an awful allergic reaction/hives episode. I want to say thank you to all the staff for the wonderful care provided. I wish to particularly point out how well they all treated my son, being very respectful, gentle and talking him through everything they were doing. I also felt very well listened to which was very reassuring and had everything explained in great detail.

My son unfortunately is still not 100% but after following up with his GP I am assured that the medications are doing their job well and just need more time. Thank you so much to all the staff involved for looking after us both.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and kind words with us.

As a mother myself I can appreciate the anxiety you must have faced with your young son having such a reaction. It was wonderful to read that you felt listened to and how well the team in ED looked after your son and yourself during what must have been a stressful time. I am glad you felt reassured by the treating team whilst they were investigating and treating his reaction.

Your feedback has been shared with the ED Management team for them to share and acknowledge the great work undertaken by their colleagues.
