An Angiogram recently discovered that I had three blockages in my arteries: Two were 90% blocked and one was 80% blocked. I was shocked to say the least.
An appointment with my Surgeon Dr Zakir resulted in an operation being scheduled. The operation was actually carried out a day earlier.
Fortunately, all went well and the operation was a success. The Nurses and Doctors at Prince of Wales Hospital were exceptional and quite helpful with their tasks. I was always kept informed of my progress. I could not have been provided with better care.
It is now several weeks since the operation and I feel as though I am getting progressively stronger. I am doing a lot more things that I used to do before the operation.
The surgery is something that I will remember for the rest of my life and I am very grateful to Dr Zakir and all his team for giving me the chance to extend my time on this planet. While the surgery was a great success, it is not something I would recommend to anyone (unless absolutely necessary).
With better education at an earlier age, we could overcome a lot of this type of surgery by learning about healthy nutrition and excercise.
I thank you for the opportunity to express my thoughts.
