Presented at the Emergency Dept. with chest pains. The care and detailed attention received was the most attentive, professional, empathetic, friendly, calming and consistent over the shifts that I have ever received.
I was most impressed with what I saw as the staff's clear enjoyment of their profession and the interaction between staff radiated a very positive and happy work place. Their detailed attention remained firmly on their patients' welfare.
I feel all department staff exuded the same attitude of caring service to the patients.
I witnessed this in the Emergency Ward, the Overnight Ward, the Xray Dept., the Meal Servicing, the Cleaning Staff who were actually singing while working! And the Chief Medical Staffer. Doctor Ralph's considered evaluation of my issues was a breathe of fresh air for his ability to classify and immediate communicate his findings both to me and to medical colleagues in Adelaide with whom, at the time of writing this, I was currently in care.
I recall the Ward staff worked so well as a team, backing each other's task to ensure a lightening of each other's load and producing a smooth and professional completion of their responsibilities. It was a pleasure to observe.
I was amused when my husband wanted to take a photo of me having lunch to send to his golf mates with the caption, "took the wife out to lunch". It was worthy of that distinction. The balance and presentation is the best food I have experienced in my many hospital stays.
In my opinion, this hospital is a blue print for how hospitals should run. I feel perhaps larger hospitals would benefit from splitting their departments into cells to function more efficiently and certainly trained to capture the essence of the care and united staff's work ethic.
Congratulations to all of the staff and administration who I dealt with 👏 🙌 👍
