I just wanted to acknowledge the exceptional service we receive at the Bunbury Regional Hospital Infusion Lounge.
My son had SCIg (Subcutaneous Immunoglobulin Therapy) at home for well over a year until he could no longer bear it. I found the staff were incredibly attentive towards his extra needs regarding his autism, sensory processing disorder and iatrogenic anxiety.
Before I could even ask, I recall his Nurse (Princess) suggested a better chair position to reduce his anxiety from the amount of foot traffic passing him and it was also much quieter in the front room.
I think it's important to recognise exceptional service and I feel that is what we experience every visit.
I don't recall having used the term ‘exceptional service’ ever in my son’s lifetime.
"Exceptional service"
