"Fantastic care FSH CCU"

About: Fiona Stanley Hospital / Cardiology, CCU and Ward 4D

(as a relative),

Recently my husband was admitted to CCU at FSH where he spent two weeks after being transferred from a country area. He had a cardiac transplant some years ago and was having an episode of rejection with associated heart failure and fluid retention.

FSH CCU staff- doctors, nurses, support staff were amazing! Efficient, proactive, communicative, competent and caring. The team engaged my husband in the decision making processes and myself where appropriate. They responded to concerns and worries. They answered questions and followed up, acting on everything they stated they would action. They organised appropriate investigations and tests and provided us with answers in a timely manner. They worked on a comprehensive discharge plan well ahead of time that made discharge seamless. They provided exceptional, holistic care that we very much appreciated.

What an awesome team. Thank you.

Dear GratefulToday,

I’m so sorry to read of your husband’s recent cardiac issue. I imagine it would have been a very stressful time for you both.

The care you have described is exactly the standard of care we strive to provide to all of our patients. Having said that, reading your compliment still filled me with a sense of great pride for the staff who provided your husband with care during his stay. I have asked that all of CCU are made aware of your wonderful compliment, with an added personal note of thanks from myself – I am sure that they will be very happy to know that you and your husband very much appreciated their efforts.

I wish your husband all the very best with his health moving forwards.

Kind regards,

Neil Doverty
