On a blurry mess of a day, I had taken an overdose during an attempt. I was rushed into ED, where the staff greeted me & my parent - and after a brief moment to get details, I got brought into the ED.
To me it’s still a blur, I can vaguely remember faces coming and going to me - but later that day I was able to be transported into essu - a considerably quieter section of ED in my opinion - and where I started to come out of it a bit.
The nurses who attended to me were incredible, friendly & consistently checked up on me to make sure I was okay. The following day the psychiatric team interviewed me, and once I was physically cleared - came down to the Mental Health Ward. Whilst late at night, the staff who met me were super friendly - which helped my anxiety at the time. Following spending a two-week stay in the ward, I received a large amount of strategies & support.
Thank You FSH :)
Update - After consultation with my support contacts - it was decided I’d be unsafe in the community - so I’m currently back in the ER (about a week later) - so far I’ve had amazing treatment - and staff are supportive during my breakdowns.
