I believe the local child Health Nurse Holly is amazing! It's been a long time since the small town of Wagin had a parents group run- normally new parents are required travel 35 minutes or more to the next town to attend these groups once a week. The specialist people she got each week (Ngala, OT, Dietician) were, in my opinion, all so knowledgeable and helpful. And what I really loved was that in a small town you think you know everyone- but I met lots of new mums and bubs and made some new friends. And I loved the supportive environment. Holly also opened the group up to expecting mums which I feel was brilliant for preparedness and meeting people that can support me along the way. This is my first child and it never felt "real"- but now I've met this fantastic group of people in my local town and learnt stuff along the way. It's also so good getting to know Holly as the local CHN better!
