Yet again, amazing care from all departments at SCGH from admission, short stay unit, theatre and ward G53.
The lovely lady that admitted me first thing when I arrived really set the tone for my visit. I was quickly admitted and sent up to SSU where I was checked in and looked after by Michelle. She gave me all the warm blankets I wanted - so, Michelle, you’re the best!
Huge thanks to all the orderlies as well, whose names I didn't quite catch.
Theatre staff were great as usual. The holding bay nurse (Katie?) was super friendly and kept me occupied while waiting to go in. The ortho theatre team was great as usual and took fantastic care of me, as did my recovery nurse.
I was moved to G53 where, again, I received great care from all - nurses, coordinators, physios, orderlies, RMO and PSA etc. Special mention though to Catherine & Siobhan (sorry about the spelling) plus, Taylor and Zoe, the nursing students.
I had a bit of a rough post-op recovery but put up with me anyway! I was discharged day 2 post-op and whilst there was a delay, they let me stay in my bed until everything was ready, which was much appreciated.
Keep up the great work guys!
