My family would like to acknowledge the dedicated, competent and caring treatment provided by the Physiotherapist, Peter, whilst my parent recently was an inpatient of the Dickinson 4 (D4) Ward at the Prince of Wales Hospital.
My parent was admitted to D4 for the treatment of an acute illness that substantially weakened their physical strength and general health.
Peter, the Physio assigned to my parent's care was proactive in developing a comprehensive but achievable physical fitness plan to help strengthen my parent's muscles and enhance their ability to become up and mobile and walking again. Peter and his Physio team provided dedicated, twice daily sessions that gradually built up my parent's physical strength and wellness over the course of the admission.
My parent developed a trusting relationship with Peter due to his caring and encouraging behaviour. Although quite weak, my parent was eager to be up walking and mobile due to the trusting support that Peter provided in each session. Peters can-do attitude was pivotal, not only to help and encourage my parent to recover their physical health but all the patients under his care.
My family and my parent are grateful to Peter for his dedication and kindness. We also wish to thank Peter for his continuity of care in his referral for the community, home-based physio after discharge. Also, we would like to thank Whitney, the rehab physiotherapist who was also a vital team member in assisting with my parent's physical fitness plan.
With much appreciation and gratitude.
