"Hypnobirthing Course Online"

About: Positive Birth Program

(as a service user),

I was devastated when the virus hit and the antenatal classes where cancelled. I am a first-time mum and was already extremely anxious about delivering without any of my immediate family being close.

I stumbled upon the Positive Birthing Classes when I joined the Baby Bumps WA page on Facebook. I decided to enrol in the courses as all of the other ones that I had looked at and found online has quite a high cost associated with them.

Kasey from Bunbury Hospital was the facilitator of the program and I felt she was absolutely amazing. While it was difficult presenting such a hands-on course via Zoom conferencing, she brought a sense of humor to the classes and presented the material in such an amazing manner. She was really interactive, calming and provided such great information into the birthing process, all while sharing her own experiences.

The Positive Birthing Classes really helped me understand the delivery process, what to do, what can go wrong and the choices that I had available to me.

I really feel that the Hypnobirthing Positive Birthing course should be available for all parents in WA, as it provides such insight into the birthing process, and prepares you for a positive birthing experience. While I had quite a difficult birthing process, I was able to put what I had learned into practice, and come out of the birth of my baby in a positive light, even though I required medical interventions.

Dear phasees59,

COVID has certainly presented us with some challenges, and in addition to being a first-time parent I can understand the anxiety that such circumstances created. I am pleased that you came across the Baby Bumps WA page – it is a great source of information for pregnant women in WA.

We are very fortunate that we have been able to continue providing the antenatal classes during these COVID times, it has provided a silver lining as the movement to the online antenatal classes’ format ensured greater access to the comprehensive program to women across the state and Kasey’s dynamic facilitation has played a huge role in that.

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback, as I am sure that you have your hands full looking after a new baby in the house and I wish you and your family all the best for your future ahead. I am sure that the tools learnt during the classes will continue to be useful as you navigate the next chapter in your journey. Take care.
