Recently, I was admitted to the maternity ward in Bunbury after prematurely rupturing my membranes at 25 weeks pregnant. Midwives Rosita and Jackie were calm and reassuring while very quickly getting into action. Helping me through contractions whilst trying to put a stop to such an early labour, looking after both bub, myself and my spouse.
Their quick actions essentially helped me get to King Edward Memorial Hospital to be in the best place for me and bub. Their persistence to get me on a Royal Flying Doctor Service was essential. Though it was not easy, their ability to identify and escalate the situation does not go unnoticed. Myself and my spouse are incredibly grateful for the care, support and sense of urgency that these ladies gave, we cannot speak highly enough of how the situation was handled.
