"Valuable information too fast to read"

About: St George Hospital

(as a relative),

While visiting my son in hospital I was sitting in a coffee shop having a coffee and watching the power-point presentation on the big screen. I'm quite a literate person and can therefore read quite quickly, but I would barely start reading when the image rolls across to the next piece of information. There is very valuable information on the power-point for patients and families, including:

* We value your opinion ...

* Visiting hours ...

* Hand hygiene ...

* Managing medication ...

* Organ and tissue donation ...

...etc.

Even though I can read quite quickly the power-point is too fast for me to read all the information on each screen before it rolls to the next screen. It's a shame because the information is very worthwhile. I can't image how hard it must be for people who need more time to read.

Hi Powerpoint,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We value your opinion and have adjusted the timing of the power-point presentation on the big screen from 15 seconds to 35 seconds. As you have said, this presentation contains very valuable information for patients and families. If you get the chance please let me know if this allows you to read all of the information.

I do thank you again for taking the time to write and share your experience.

Kind regards

Leisa
