My child was bought into Fiona Stanley Hospital by ambulance for a sports injury on Sunday afternoon.
Arriving at the hospital we could see the staff were under the pump and extremely busy.
My child was taken into the ambulance bay where an amazing nurse Mel looked after them.
Luckily my child was fortunate to not have spinal injuries and walked out of the ED later that evening.
Nurse Mel needs to be commended for her caring attitude, patience and calming abilities. I watched her treat my child with care and kindness whilst dealing with several other patients including a confused older person who multiple times tried to jump out of bed.
Some patients would have been frustrating for the most of patient people. At all times Mel attended to each patient with such a caring attitude and pleasant demeanor.
She is truly one of those amazing nurses who despite being run off her feet attends to each patient with grace, poise and a caring and patient attitude. Please pass on my sincere thanks to her.
