I attempted for three hours to contact the neurology department but it appears nobody there ever answers the phone. I shouldn't need to spend a day driving there and back merely to get an MRI request re-scheduled. Not good enough !!!!
I did eventually get through to the neurology clinic and ran into more red tape. Apparently the consultant was away for several weeks and it isn't possible to deal with another consultant even though the patient's condition appears to be deteriorating significantly. I understand the only option remaining is for me to come to Brisbane (a day return trip) and take the patient to emergency which will hopefully expedite the MRI.
