Recently given birth to my second child and have attended weekly Mum's in training exercise classes throughout both pregnancies. I loved these classes and think the program should be expanded and better promoted.
It was fantastic being able to attend regular, affordable, pregnancy safe exercise classes locally. The maternity physios running the classes were always friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Exercises were readily adaptable to suit our levels of fitness and any pregnancy related issues we were having. It was also fantastic to discuss any physical symptoms we were having such as pelvic girdle pain and carpel tunnel and get advice, physical aids such as tubigrip and referral to the maternity physio's if needed.
Finally I very much enjoyed the social aspects of these classes and made friends with several other mums locally who I still catch up with regularly.
