My baby was recently readmitted to the neonatal ward for jaundice treatment. Within 1 hour my baby was floppy and wasn't breathing. I asked for assistance from staff and they took my baby into a room, left my bub in a big cot with sides and then someone ran for help to the ward next door. Two people came and did CPR on my baby while everyone else stood around. Another few people came put a tube down my bub's throats and took them to intensive care. My baby was really not well.
I was scared as I felt that staff on the neonatal ward didn't know what to do. The staff from the ward next door cared for my baby. I had been told they were from the prenatal (maternity) ward.
