"Transfer from Peritoneal Dialysis to Haemodialysis with internal infection and Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (PICC)"

About: Wonthaggi Hospital

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

Hospital Nurse attended in the home from Wonthaggi Hospital.

Very professional, creating a sterile environment for hospital in the home treatment. All aspects of treatment gentle. Gave patient and carer great confidence. Fully support the hospital in the home program and can see this program expanding with further workshopped goals - implementation - outcomes developed, overall benefit to both Wonthaggi Hospital and Patients alike.

Hello and apologies for the delay in getting back to you. I needed to do a bit of investigation and get an update on your situation to make sure I responded appropriately. I very much appreciate your very positive feedback about our Dialysis service and Hospital in the Home service. It sounds like you had a tricky infection following your discharge from another hospital and I was really pleased after talking with the staff, to hear that it has all healed and that things are back on track. I will make a point to pop into Dialysis to say Hi and thanks in person, but in the interim, thank you so much for taking the time to provide the feedback - I know the Dialysis and HITH staff are very chuffed about your comments.

Kind regards,

Jan
