"ALO patient assistance transport"

Just recently I underwent major surgery which prevented me from driving and getting to physiotherapy at our local hospital. It was arranged through the physio department for me to be picked up by patient transport and taken to the sessions on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

I had noted that when picked up by a young man by the name of Jamie, he was super caring - opening doors of the vehicle and making sure that you were comfortably seat belted etc before driving off. On the second day of my physio we went by another house to pick up another lady who had experienced a stroke and was on a walker. Jamie went out of his way to see her safely from the house, he locked the door for her helped get her into the car and stowed her walker. On leaving the hospital he asked us to sit inside the hospital area and wait while he retrieved the car and moved it closer to the door settling us both in for the drive back to our prospective homes. When we arrived at her home, he took her key after seeing her safely back on her walker, and opened her door again leaving her safely inside her home. I felt that this was most commendable as it showed concern and respect for the people that he was working with.
