My husband has had a number of visits to this unit, and for half of those visits his injection has not be prepared and ready for his appointment, which then means a nearly two hour wait for us. We travel from a long distance, and a trip up and back for a visit can take between 5-6 hours, round trip. One visit we were not expecting to have the injection so we travelled by train and had to return home during peak hour. By the time we got home the reaction from the injection had set in and I had to leave my husband on a bench uncontrollably shaking whilst I went to get the car. My husband also suffers from severe depression and anxiety and has suffered a stroke and has diminished strength on his right side and none of these factors seem to come into consideration when making or keeping booked appointment times. Everyone gets put into the same basket and you just become a number. I am hoping this brings around some improvement in services supplied.
