I have nothing but positive things to say about the majority of the staff and carer's at the Ipswich Hospital maternity ward. My wife and I were lucky enough to be part of the midwifery program and have been extremely well taken care of by their very professional, well trained members. We had a particularly scary birth which necessitated an emergency caesarian, and after hearing what was on the table its a decision we're both very happy they went with. Our little baby and mother are both happy and healthy and it is only thanks to the care given by the myriad of midwives, nurses, doctors, and medical practitioners that were on hand to assess and act appropriately.
Since returning home, we have been visited by a midwife from the team almost daily and they have coached us through the stress of having a new baby at home for the first time. They have provided expert assessment, and the continuity of having someone who is suggesting things to try and then there to see the outcomes cannot be overstated. I thoroughly recommend this program, it is fantastic.
