"Busselton hospital"

About: Busselton Health Campus

(as the patient),

I fell off my bicycle recently while overseas and hurt my shoulder and cut my face. The local Medical Centre put 4 stitches in my face and treated my grazes. They told me to have an x-ray as soon as possible, but did not have any x-ray facilities.

I returned to Australia and went to Busselton Emergency for an x-ray. I was checked by the nurse who was not interested in my shoulder at all but did do a thorough check of my face. I asked to see the doctor as I felt I needed an x-ray. She said I didn't need to and I should have gone to my sibling's house as my sibling is a physio. I told her I had spoken to my sibling and they suggested imagining to see what is wrong

I then had to go to my doctor on another day and my doctor agreed I needed imaging which took another 3 days to get an appointment. Meanwhile I was using my right arm and was in severe pain. When I could get an appointment with my doctor again it was found I have a broken collarbone and it needed to be put in a sling and as I had used it too much I was now in more pain.

I am very disappointed in the way I was treated at emergency by the nurse and I am also $128 out of pocket after my medicare rebates for x-ray and doctor bills. I also had to take a day and a half off work due to the extra pain I was in from using my arm as well as doctor and x-ray time, which I was trying to avoid by finding out what was wrong and how to treat it before going back to work

Can you please confirm this has been actioned and past on to the correct people

Thank you
