"Fantastic care at Kununurra Hospital"

I had to undergo surgery for an injured foot under general anaesthetic. I was referred by Kununurra Medical next door to the hospital, was seen by the general surgeon 2 days later and was operated on the next day.

The procedure was explained to me clearly not once but twice and I was encouraged to ask questions.

Pre-op and post op care was exceptional. My operation went ahead at exactly the time planned. Every member of staff I came into contact with from the lady that served my meal and (plentiful) drinks, to the nurses to the anaesthetist and larger than life super-surgeon, were all incredibly friendly and efficient. All this on what turned out to be the busiest day for the hospital this year.

A particular shout to the amazing midwife from Tanzania who doubled on this busy day as ward nurse and provided post op care that was second to none.

I had a follow up appointment the following day at the Coolibah Centre. Again I was seen promptly and treated with utmost courtesy and efficiency.
