Recently I had an endoscopy at the Angliss Hospital. I just wanted to say that from the time I walked into the hospital until the time I left, I was treated kindly and with respect. I can't remember any of the names (I'm terrible with names), but everyone who I spoke to and was treated by, was so nice and it makes the experience so much better. I have anxiety, and since this was the first time I had an endoscopy, I was definitely more anxious than usual. But the nurse who greeted me, helped me feel calmer. Whether it was providing a warm blanket or simply asking about my back pain. I truly felt cared for. Then I spoke to one of the doctors who spoke about music helping with keeping patients calm and asked me what I studied at university, etc. The anaesthetist answered any questions I had, and I had no problems before, during or after the procedure. I was then asked for tea or coffee and sandwiches and was allowed to rest on a comfy chair. I believe that giving compliments when they're due, is incredibly important. Bottom line, I'm thankful for being treated by people so dedicated to their work and go that extra mile to make sure their patient feels comfortable. So I just wanted to say thank you.
