My ex husband was admitted to hospital. He collapsed at work from unknown cause as no one witnessed his fall. He is currently undergoing chemo and has had brain surgery in the past to remove lesions.
When I visited today, he was still confused and unable to recall much of what happened, therefore he relies entirely on the nursing staff for care. I was very concerned when I asked the nurse caring for him what the numerous pills they were dispensing to him; none of which were familiar to my ex husband. I believe the response was the nurse didn't know why they were prescribed to him and that he didn't have to take them if he didn't want to. I find this response irresponsible and neglectful. Being an ex healthcare worker myself I find this behaviour concerning. I am sharing to bring this to your attention so you can address it.
