My beautiful children deserve a better parent. They are grown into young adults now but I still wanted to participate in the PUP program, even if just to make me aware.
However, I seemed to fall into an odd void. I wasn't forced to leave home until my children were early primary school age, so the infancy part of the program, I felt I had covered fairly well. I'm now trying to reconnect with my kids as they are late teenagers, so a lot of the material wasn't relevant to my particular situation. But I think our counsellor did an outstanding job with curriculum provided and like most, I look forward to being an awesome grandparent one day.
I think a program that worked on a "reconnection" premise, no matter the demographic, would be invaluable.
