I have already told my story of the wonderful care I received while in hospital, mainly by the nursing staff. I do however have a criticism about some of the meals I had. As I have ulcerative colitis I had to have a low fibre diet. Some of the meals were fine, but after 3 meals with just mashed potato and grilled tomato on the side, I had to tell them I didn't want anymore tomato. Then I was given mashed potato and mashed pumpkin. One meal I had included some sliced potato with sauce and baked pumpkin. Great. I didn't always get what I ordered. Once I had a goulash, but it was too spicy and I couldn't eat it. As far as I'm aware that is not suitable for ulcerative colitis. The meal deliverers did their best to give me something suitable when they could, but as I was in the last room there usually wasn't anything else left.
