"Parking at The Angliss"

(as the patient),

The other day I had to park at The Angliss to have an ultrasound and an xray. I was in the parking lot for just over 45 minutes. It cost $5.00 for those 45 minutes! I was shocked and angry when the fee came up. That is an outrageous fee for short term parking. Nothing more than a money-maker. There needs to be a more equitable scale for parking fees.

Many thanks for giving us feedback on Patient Opinion.

I am sorry you were disappointed by the car park fees and hope that the rest of your experience at Angliss Hospital was positive. I understand that car parking is an issue for our patients, visitors and staff and we continue to work on improving our car parking facilities.

Eastern Health charges for off-street parking at our major sites and proceeds go towards operating, maintaining and upgrading our car parks. Car park rates are regularly benchmarked with other hospitals around Melbourne to ensure reasonable parity.

Concession rates are available for patients and their visitors/family who are experiencing financial hardship, so please contact me privately at david.plunkett@easternhealth.org.au and I can arrange for the right person to work this through with you. For your information, alternative parking and transport options are available on the Eastern Health website should this be of any assistance.
