I was referred to Allied Health at Broome Health Campus for postnatal physiotherapy assessment. All of the Allied Health department staff I came into contact with were extremely pleasant and professional. I received excellent support from women’s health Physiotherapists, initially Annie and later Allison. I’m particularly grateful to Annie for her care, impressive clinical judgment and efficiency. Annie validated and escalated my concerns about an aspect of my baby’s development and initiated the review by the hospital Paediatricians without hesitation. My baby was very promptly seen by Dr Gaj – if I ever see him again I’d love to tell him “you were right! ” – and another doctor, whose name I unfortunately can’t accurately recall but I think it was James. This resulted in my baby going on to receive timely & appropriate specialist investigation and diagnosis at Princess Margaret Hospital. I have no doubt this intervention has contributed to improved outcomes for early childhood and beyond. This holistic approach to care and the degree of multidisciplinary consultation & cooperation on display within the Broome Health Service is very positive, reassuring and an especially important attribute in a remote regional community.
"Invaluable Allied Health follow up"
