I cannot understand after years of outpatient clinic appointments, why it is necessary to wait on average two and a quarter hours between the allocated appointment time and the actual time one gets to have one's 7 minute visit with a doctor? So many of us patients always left waiting, wasting our unimportant time crowded into a hot waiting area. So many of us just sitting and seething. Surely with better organisation one could set up realistic appointments in relation to when one would see their doctor. I have glaucoma and have been attending outpatient clinics at least twice a year, often many times more at Sydney Eye Hospital. My medical care has been excellent.
