Recently we welcomed our 4th child, born by elective C section at the Angliss Hospital.
All my children have been born at the Angliss (even I was born at the Angliss) and have always found the midwives and care to be fantastic.
Being a fourth caesarean, I was aware of the risks associated, however, as a Jehovah's Witness I also requested that no blood transfusions be used should the need arise.
Dr Chris, along with the whole team who delivered our baby, showed the utmost respect - although they made me aware of the risks, they also were happy & prepared to use blood conservation techniques (Dr Chris has much experience in caring for Jehovah's Witnesses) and this made me feel very comfortable heading into theatre. My blood loss was minimal and recovery was the easiest and quickest of all four caesareans. I am very grateful and thankful for the care & respect shown by all at the Angliss, thank you x
