"DrugARM volunteering experience - Warradale"

About: Community And Family Support Service (CAFSS) - Drug ARM - Warradale Healthy Options Australia

(as a volunteer/advocate),

Before volunteering, I didn't have any knowledge of drug addiction problems. Through counselling, I have been able to see and understand the world from a point of view of someone who is going through difficulties due to drugs. This has made me more compassionate, less judgemental and a better person overall. It is wonderful to be able to support and watch people as they find who they are without drugs.

Hi psychologystudent,

What we learn from the clients we see is sometimes so much more powerful than anything we could ever possibly learn from a textbook. Thank you for sharing your personal journey of growth both professionally and personally. Keep up the good work!

Kind regards,

Debby
