Our very elderly father and father in law had to date been loudly and adamantly refusing to allow any service or support help him with his day to day living (at home alone). The team at Life Assist had been assigned a difficult task to facilitate the consent of home based services which involved "chipping away" at his resistance and co-ordinating services that we were able to. They also were unwavering in their support of us and his expressed wish to remain at home, providing practical and other support to make applications to VCAT and deal with difficult agencies that had become involved.
Thanks to the consistent and at times intensive support from HARP's Life Assist, we now have all the legal, procedural and practical supports in place that allow him to live in his home of over 40 years.
"Great care and attention in an environment of adversity"
