My child and several class mates, along with the families of these children, were majorly let down by Cerebral Palsy League and their decision to cease providing after school care and vacation care in Southport. Words do not describe how disappointed and let down we feel by an organisation supposedly providing ongoing support. Once again we find ourselves disadvantaged and let down, and by of all people an organisation we thought would understand and support our needs. At present we have no idea if we will be able to continue in our jobs because we are unable to hold down the hours we work, and consequently pay the bills such as mortgages required to simply maintain a stable family home, already disrupted by our reality of disability on a daily basis. Familys, including mine. make decisions based on the reliability of provision of services such as yours. Your decision has caused major upset and uncertainty. It's not always just about the money...... right now CPL, you are no different to all the other barriers we come across in life.
Yesterday I received a letter from your CEO championing CPL and the NDIS.... how can we trust you?
Feeling very let down....
"Closure of service has let us all down."
