"Wait times for GP appointments"

I tried to make a GP appointment at the local Medical Centre for a health complaint that I did not feel warranted a visit to the ED at the hospital. When I called I was informed that GP clinics have been cut to four a week and that these are generally filled with chronic patients. If I wanted an appointment I was going to have to wait until the middle of February! I have since made the earliest available appointment with another Medical Centre (3 days from when I rang).
