"Outstanding care by nurse at Box Hill Emergency Department."

I came into Box Hill Hospital on by ambulance with my ward who had injured her hip quite badly. She was clearly upset and in a very large amount of pain. The first nurse who saw us was nice but as it was the end of her shift she handed us over to Liz. Without a doubt Liz was the best nurse we've ever had. My ward and I have had many visits to emergency over the last couple of years, but we have never had a nurse who was so kind, honest, and invested in my ward's care as Liz was. It can't be easy dealing with a young person who is in incredible pain and suffering anxiety attacks from the stress of it all, but Liz helped her through it without a second thought. Not only that, but she made sure myself and my partner felt welcome and understood. Having dealt in the past with nurses who dismissed me or didn't care for my input because I am young, Liz was a breath of fresh air. She ensured that I got my own injury seen to at the same time as showing my ward undivided attention. If I had my way I would request Liz for my future visits! She deserves recognition for her kind heart and professional manner.
