My child got sent to the emergency department with a high temperature I didn't think that it was going to be hospital worthy but as my GP said to go, off we went.
After being in the waiting room for all of five minutes my child decided to have a febrile convulsion. I went to the triage nurse (which was a lovely lady) and she rushed us straight through where I was a typical mother not knowing what was happening to my little child but the staff were cool, calm and collected, did what they had to do then took the time to explain to me what had happened and reassured me. Not once did I feel like I had no idea what was happening or that I was overreacting.
Once that was over we went to the pediatric short stay unit where once again they were lovely, with one stand out male nurse and doctor but I can't remember their names. we got the help we needed and my little child is much better now.
