I have been attending ACT Medicare Local NewAccess Program to cope with a very difficult time. My husband and I were suddenly evacuated from our family home due to asbestos contamination. We were told to leave, take nothing, and were placed in emergency accommodation. My dog of 13 years was left behind in the backyard by herself. There was a death in our family, we were victims of theft, our car was damaged and our child has an ongoing health issue. Carla, our counsellor has been very good, helping us to compartmentalize our worries. The care is ongoing, with a good reviewing system.
