"Having a baby with midwifery group practice care"

About: King Edward Memorial Hospital / Maternity

(as a service user),

I was accepted into the Midwifery Group Practice at KEMH for care through my second pregnancy and birth. My goal was to have an unmedicated/minimal intervention VBAC. The care I received through this model was wonderful and I believe a big contributor to me successfully achieving the birth I planned and having a much smoother early postpartum than my first. While my midwife was not on shift the day I gave birth, her buddy who I had also met was on, and saw me through most of my labour, along with a student midwife I had organised. All the midwives caring for me on the day were respectful, kind and helped to maintain a calm environment.

Dear ariesdz37,

Congratulations on the birth of your little one! Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience with the Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) at King Edward Memorial Hospital. It’s truly uplifting to hear about the guidance and support provided by the MGP midwives, and how you had such a positive birth experience.

We will be very pleased to share your feedback with the MGP team to let them know the positive impact they had on you and your family throughout your pregnancy and birth.

Wishing all the best to you and your family,

Delaney
