I completed a term of Mother-Baby Nurture, and I don't think I can quite put into words how much of a positive impact it had on me and my relationship with my now-6-month-old. From the very first session, I felt welcomed, supported, and truly heard. The space created by the facilitators, Mica and Ally, was incredibly compassionate, non-judgemental and warm.
Each week offered meaningful discussions, gentle guidance, and probably most importantly, a space and time to actually reflect on the blurry week. This helped me navigate the ups and downs of different aspects as the gestational parent (nonbinary mother). It was such a relief to connect with other mums going through similar experiences which truly helped to feel less alone.
What made this group so special was the connections I felt with others. I always left feeling a little lighter, more confident, and more connected to my baby and myself. This group has had a lasting impact on my wellbeing, and I’m so grateful for the experience. I'm so thankful, too, that they were given the funding for the term I attended, because it helped me so much. My K10 and similar scores were significantly reduced hugely because of this group.
The only "negative" I have about the group is that it had to end! But I'm hoping the group continues to help other parents as much as it helped me ❤️
