My wife needed urgent medical care recently. I called an ambulance for her and St John's arrived quickly and took her to the ED at Geraldton Regional Hospital.
She was admitted at ED, and was quickly attended to by nursing staff initially and then later by a Doctor. The decision was to admit her to Hospital an she is now being treated on a Ward as an inpatient. The care she received in Emergency was beyond criticism. Her needs were attended to until a decision could me made on whether to admit her as a Hospital inpatient. Following initial treatment and observation on ED, she was admitted.
It was kind of the Hospital staff to let me be with her shortly after she arrived at ED, and on into the night. The care my wife received from the ED staff was outstanding. All her needs were met by people who were efficient, decisive and most importantly caring.
Since then, my wife has continued to receive nothing but the best of care from the people at the Geraldton Regional hospital. I have spent many hours with her in the Hospital Ward. Her condition has sometimes been challenging for nurses to manage, but they have been doing an amazing job under difficult circumstances, providing my Wife with round-the-clock attention. I can not fault the quality of care my Wife has received from both the ED and the Ward staff, Doctors and support services. Myself and members of my family are deeply grateful for the help being provided to my wife.
