"Hospital Stay - Sub Acute Ward Swan Hill District Hospital (SHDH)"

About: Swan Hill District Hospital / Sub-Acute Services

(as the patient),

I have recently completed a lengthy stay (6 weeks) in the Sub Acute Ward at SHDH. The care I received was outstanding & thus I wanted to record how impressed I was with the various aspects of my hospitalization. Firstly the Nursing staff in Sub Acute were outstanding. They need to be commended -

Their special care was so much appreciated and they made my lengthy stay more tolerable. The Physio staff, O/T and Exercise Physiology were so professional and they were determined & dedicated to the task of my rehabilitation and preparing me for the transition to be able to cope safely at home after discharge.

I also want to mention the kitchen staff as my meals were tasty and presented with obvious pride in their work. Sometimes you hear bad rapts of hospital experiences, hospital food etc, but this wasn't the case with my stay - I was so pleased with all aspects of the care I received - Well done SHDH - 5 stars from me
